Natural playgrounds use wood, boulders, logs and planting to bring nature into play. Examples include Silverado Community Natural Playground and Rideau Roxboro Natural Community Playground in Calgary, Cambrian Playground in Sherwood Park, Rondeau Park in Edmonton and Parc Réunis in Beaumont. Natural elements invite open-ended, imaginative play and sit comfortably in parks and green spaces.
