Mesa Playground (Ashcroft, BC)

The Village of Ashcroft partnered with Park N Play Design to create a vibrant new community playground designed to serve its growing population of young families. This exciting play space combines accessibility, physical challenge, and inclusive recreation to provide children of all ages and abilities with opportunities to play, explore, and connect.

Designed for children aged 5–12, the playground features a large multi-level play structure with exciting climbing opportunities, overhead challenges, balancing elements, slides, and a spacious swing area. The design focuses on encouraging active play while providing engaging upper-body challenges for older children and a variety of experiences that keep kids returning for more.

Accessibility was a key priority throughout the project. The playground is installed over a fully accessible poured-in-place rubber safety surface, ensuring children of all abilities can comfortably navigate and enjoy the space. Strategic shade features integrated into the play structure help create a more comfortable environment, allowing families to extend their playtime during warm summer days.  

Today, Mesa Vista Playground serves as a welcoming community gathering space where children can build confidence, challenge themselves, and create lasting memories while families enjoy a safe and inclusive outdoor destination.
