Horizon Housing provides affordable, integrated, supportive homes to more than 1,100 low income families and individuals with special needs, including those living with mental health or mobility challenges. For this reason they really wanted their first ever facility playground to be inclusive and fun for children of all abilities! We were able to provide a fully inclusive playground directly outside the doors of their clients who have special needs, and ensure that their playspace also had challenging events for everyone.

This was a replacement project for a very old community park. The Chaparral Community Association worked with the City of Calgary and Parks Foundation Calgary to raise money and then choose a playground design. The Community Association had requested a more challenging playground for their older children, and some natural theming for the equipment.

This project is made up of 2 areas, one for ages 18 months to 5 years which is made up of an Earthscape Junior Tower and a Gametime Saucer Swing. The second area is designed for ages 5-12 years and is made up of a custom Water Tower structure, a challenging Log Jam and 2 Wobble Boards.

Colour me happy to play at the outstanding Kinglet Gardens Playground! This fun neighbourhood playground in the far west end has a lot of features to love! It’s comprised of a series of unique climbers and a big slide that surround a rainbow “stained glass” star.

Teal and lavender are the colours of fun at Falconer Heights Playground! To the best of my knowledge, this is Edmonton’s first playground with artificial turf as a base. The playground also has sand through parts of it. There are slides, monkey bars and climbers, plus a few pieces of equipment that are a little less common, like a supernova circle, arm sliding bars and a spring-mounted triangle platform.
