Volunteers in Calgary came together to build a brand new playground for St. Bede School in the city’s northwest. A year earlier, the school had its old, outdated playground removed. Although this was necessary, it left the kids without a playground space for a year while parents worked hard to raise the money and rally support to bring this brand new place to play for the school community!
Parks Foundation Calgary, along with volunteers from the local community as well as Pembina Pipeline Corporation, helped to ensure another great place to play in Calgary. The school now has lots of fun on their new playground and even the local MLA noticed, writing a letter of thanks for helping to create a fun new park in the community. Check out some images, below, of the park development and finished playground, as well as the letter of thanks from MLA Josephine Pon.
