Inclusive playgrounds go beyond access. Children of different abilities play side by side, with sensory-rich features, a range of challenge levels and quieter places to take a break. Examples include Mesa Playground in Ashcroft, BC, Benson Park in Regina, and Bayside Rise and Nose Creek Park in Airdrie, both National Demonstration Sites. We plan inclusive spaces around the accessibility guidance in CSA Z614 (Annex H).
