Central Park in Spruce Grove is now home to the first Aventus Tower in Canada, an eye-catching landmark that blends bold design with exciting play opportunities. Built with accessibility and inclusivity at its core, the playground features rubber surfacing, barrier-free access, and equipment that invites children of all abilities to play together.
Highlights include thrilling slides, a zipline, an Expression Swing for intergenerational fun, standard swings, and engaging sensory features that support whole-child development. With its combination of iconic design and inclusive play value, Central Park has quickly become a signature gathering place for families and the community.
"The inclusive playground is bright, unique and inviting! The slide tower is unlike any we’ve found in the capital region and my daughter complimented the design. It offers users several ways to get up to the top level – including a spiral ramp. There are two huge, twisty slides as well as a roller slide. (Roller slides are an inclusive feature for a number of reasons. They offer a sensory experience, are often wider to allow parallel play, and remove static electricity making them safe for users with cochlear implants.)" - Jill from Edmonton Playgrounds
