Project Details

A new playground is underway in The Uplands on the west side of 199 St. It is an accessible space that answers to children of all abilities. Kids can practice climbing, spinning, sliding, balancing, and more. Features such as a life-like tree-house make this a community space that is custom to only The Uplands; a tribute to the unique beauty of the river valley natural habitat. We're proud to work with Qualico Communities to bring this new park to the Uplands Community.

Right now, there is only one playground in the Uplands community, and it's located on the East side of the community. With the addition of this new playground, there will be playgrounds on both the west and east side of the Uplands community.

This new community park is designed to be both inclusive and accessible to allow every member of the Uplands community to enjoy their new park.

"This one’s the bee’s knees! The beautiful and unique new Uplands at Riverview West Playground is like playing in a dream! The toddler area is a feast for the eyes – from the bees and honeycomb, to the ladybug and flower hopping stools to the tree trunk climber with critters carved all around."

Thanks to Jill from EdmontonPlaygrounds.net for the amazing photos and review.
