In late 2018, one of Edmonton’s new residential developments introduced a brand new splash pad to the community. Located in the community of Stillwater, this water park utilizes a water-recirculation system to help reduce environmental impact. The park was designed to be easily accessible, creating different zones for play and making an environment inclusive for all.
Alberta Territory Manager, Shelley Robinson, led the project, saying:
“It was very exciting to be a part of this new development...We were able to create a design that is not only inclusive, but is also eco-friendly and visually stunning.”
The design, and much of the equipment, in the park was custom designed to help the community developer, Mattamy Homes, showcase the beauty and family-friendly essence of the development. This includes equipment like a custom ‘rock’ spray structure to crawl over and custom spray rings to splash through.
As the first stand-alone spray park in Edmonton to utilize the water recirculation system, the park has already garnered the attention of the community and industry alike - you can read more about this project from Pool & Spa Magazine.
